OK, so we arrived at Ubud at the 6th day. Before we get to Ubud we made a stopover at Lovina beach. There was actually nothing to see there, the beach is very thin, the sea is not as clear as in Amed. According to Lonely Planet Bali & Lombok, tourists go to Lovina beach to get the peace ambiance. Those who mostly go there are honeymooners, or writers who are longing for the calm instead of very hectic beach like in Kuta. So why did we go there? Ha ha... god question! We went there just to take some pictures so if people ever ask if we have ever went to Lovina beach, oh yes we have! :P
My son had his lunch at Lovina, while me, husband and the nanny eat at a Muslim's canteen, not too far from the beach. The food was so so, but as long as there is sambal we all can go!
We arrived at Ubud around 2 PM, stayed at Uma Sari Cottage. The place was very nice, nicer then the hotel where we stayed on our previous trip. It's a small hotel which only has 6 or 8 rooms (I cant really remember), hence that really make it as a private hotel. Lovely! The hotel is surrounded with rice field, the pool is nice, and it is actually at the center of town so shopping would be very easy!
But I didn't feel to shop on this trip, we have shopped a lot on our previous trip so I guess it would be enough. Our main purpose going to Ubud is for paying the guilty filling to the kid since we have left him for so many hours to dive. We had really fun in the ocean, but kiddo just waited us at the hotel. :( Poor him! So the rest of the journeys is for the kid! :)
It's not too difficult to make my son so happy, I know what he likes! Swimming is the number 1 activity that he loves. So after resting a while in the room, I took my son to swim at the hotel pool. There, he was very happy already!:) So we spent the evening at the pool.
At night, me and husband went to watch the Ramayana dance once again, this time at Ubud Palace. Silly us, we brought two cameras and a video cam but we couldn't take any picture. Why? We brought the cameras, but we forgot to brought the media cards... We took off the cards to uploads photo just before we went to Ubud Palace, and we forgot to recharge the video cam! ha ha ha! But that's okay, so we both can really enjoy the show totally. :)
As long as we stayed at Ubud, we mostly bought Padangnese food. Too bad I cant remember the name, if not I would highly recommend the place! Me and Billy are padangnese food lovers. Padang food is guaranteed halal, and this particular place has awesome cuisines. It's actually quite famous, such a shame that I really cant remember the name. :(
The next day we took the kid to Bali Zoo. He enjoyed it, but not as much as enjoying swimming or playing with sand. :P My kid (like most of the kids) loves animals. So zoo is always an option for destination trip with kid! We didn't spent time too long there, the zoo is not too big either. But we surely did have fun!

At the afternoon we shopped at Pasar Ubud for souvenirs. You have too bring souvenirs on your return from Bali! :p And at the evening we went to Petulu to see birds. The local claimed the place as bird paradise. Don't ask me what species of birds was those... I don't understand at all! But sitting at the side of rice field watching the evening goes and birds (so many of them) flying back to their home at some trees at the other side of rice fields.... bliss!
