Hi...
This is a hello from Bali. We're tripping back to Bali since last Thursday, it has been almost a week now. How should I begin? :)
Every trip must have a reason, plan, preparation, and the story of the trip it self, right? SO I will start from our reason. It's the sea, my love number four after Billy, Izan, and my family. ^^
We want to enrich our dive log, and also to upgrade our level in diving so we toke some courses again. Billy is now a rescue diver and I'm an advance diver but we plan to keep upgrading our ability for the sake of our safety and who knows maybe one day we can make profit from what we love? he he he... So on this trip Billy take digital photography underwater specialty, while I take peak performance buoyancy and deep dive specialty courses. Uhm, lets first cut about that, I should continue to tell ya about the preparation.
We bring along Izan with us (of course) so the trip must be well planned! Billy is the director for technical plan, and I'm Izan's manager so I should make plan for everything about him. :) And just like our previous dive trip, we also bring the nanny to help us taking care of Izan while we dive. Let me tell you, bringing the nanny along on a trip is reaaalllyyyyyy lighten your works! Ha ha... But of course it will cost you more.
Before we go I already prepared Izan's meal for the whole trip. I want him to eat my cooking only so I kinda make some home-made instant meal, if I can call it that way... It's basically just like what he used to eat at home: a soup of blended meat/chicken/fish and corn with chopped various of vegetables. What's different is that I didnt pour water on those meals although they're already cooked, and pack them on plastic clip in one for each day and freeze them. So everyday on the trip I only need to put the frozen meal on slow cooker, add cheese and some water and recook it! It's home-made instant meal!
And packing... huh! Packing is the only thing I don't like from a trip. But somehow packing this time is a lot easier. Comparing to our last trip to Bali, we brought 2 big suitcases, 2 backpacks, 2 fin and snorkel bags, 1 camera bag, 1 stroller, 1 cooler bag, 1 diaper bag, and a small suitcase for nanny, pfft! No, we don't want to bring too much stuff like that anymore! And since I discover a pouch that can be used for keepng our clothes pressed and very easy to manage, I finally made to pack Billy's, Izan's, and my cloths in just one big suitcase. Awesome! And instead of bringing cooler bag and diaper bag, and we also still need to bring Izan's sand toys, I just put them all in one backpack. Billy still need to bring another backpack for laptop, and camera bag is a must. And since we already have our own dive equipments (woohooo) we put them all on a huge dive bag. So on this trip we're bringing: 1 big suitcase, 1 huge divebag, 2 backpacks, 1 camera bag, 1 small suitcase for nanny, and Izan's carseat. We think that carseat is al ot useful then stroller, beside it's also about safety. SO there, and I become one happy lady! ^^

The flight was on Thursday morning 6.30 AM. We needed to leave the house at dawn. Billy (as always) has prepared everything: taxi, ticks, rent car, hotels....everything! (Yes, I'm a very lucky wife!^^) The flight was fine, Izan didn't get cranky at all. He was asleep during the flight, woke only before take off and after landing, he kinda knew when is the right time to wake up. :)
>>at Soeta airport
The car we rent is Suzuki APV, without driver. They already waited for us as we arrived at Denpasar. We bought meals from McD at the airport for breakfast, then went straight to Carefour to buy diapers (for easier packing I rather buy diapers at Denpasar instead of brought from Jakarta), milks for Izan, drinks and snacks for us, and finally headed up to Amed. This time we toke different route. It was like a dejavu, everything was set pretty much like the previous trip but better!

Will be continued... :)
